Let's clear that up. This is a payout for the amendment round bonus we would have already gotten. People are calling it a bribe or a signing bonus, it's not either of those. If people here think it's a bonus for signing, they're not too bright, especially if they thought it was a good reason to sign for.

I don't know what the recruiters are talking about, no new hire gets the payout.
Also, the signing payout likely worked against us as well. If people have a way out and they know they'll get a large sum, they'll vote yes, take the money and run. No reason to vote no, because then you don't get the cash. If the company was smart they would have metered the payout over a year, half each 6 months. That would've lowered the tax burden and made people stick around.
Nope. Short sighted, as usual.

Hence why I said I wouldnt recommend either but if i had the choice I would take RAH. At they are still in negotiations to possibly...hence possibly to get a better contract. Envoy is stuck with their **** contract that they sold out for.

Do they also have a poster of an AA 787 cockpit on the wall behind them to mesmerize the tender young pups wandering into the interview room at Envoy ?

lol, they werent as a bad as the Great Lakes guys, they were on the offensive going up to guys asking to see their resumes whether the person was interested or not, it was pathetic. They had also gone into classrooms, talked about how their company "kinda sucks but that we should all still apply there". It was baffling to say the least. Envoy just bragged about the 10k.

2000pilots x $12,500 = 25 mill. The "credit" was slated to be worth 36 mill in contract improvements to make this a better place. The union agreed to say they were monetizing the credit but skimmed over the amount disparity. It was a bribe. Simple as that
