Latest numbers from AA have changed and now they're saying they plan to hire 800 next year. With the E175 arriving on property here in November; it looks like we should be sending 30 a month (or more) to AA next year.
That's a change that would impact the original Envoy upgrade projections also. The 200 projected upgrades may be way too low now. Discalimer - they change their numbers frequently. This is just their latest stuff. |

I knew the AA training center was playing catch up and would eventually run larger classes. I just didn't know when. |

If AA is planning on hiring 800 next year that means 400 come from Envoy. So we are looking at a little more than 30 flows per month for all of 2016.

Sucka's. Good Luck! thungs can change so fast... The flow has always been "just around the river bend" for the last 16 years... So if they decide to say drop all E190 flying. That would negate newhires for a while, My friends that have flowed are now comuting to LGA and MIA.... do they like it... Ya. But its not as majical after waiting 16 years. And having a big lifestyle change in your mid 40's... Would have been better in our 30's as advertised... |

AA wont hire that many
I dont know where you get your BS (cujo)R.I. but with Parker, Kirby, and Isomm all saying a net loss of 41-43 mainline aircraft next year due to defered deliveries and parking of older birds and the chance that the SLI will be somewhere close to done so they can start moving aircraft around I'd believe the original 170-180 flows next year max!!! not to mention the expected 200 or so undefers that have until May to make their choice. that still has the flow at over 16 years by the end of year. The only highlight of New York closing is you don't have a vote anymore!!!!

No, they want to roll those out at all AAG carriers at once. So, we're stuck waiting for PSA, PDT and even AA to catch up. AA still carries enroute charts and some company pages. |

Envoy to operate Embraer 140s through August 2016 Dear Envoy team – I’m pleased to share an update to American’s operating plan that will keep more flying at Envoy. Previously, American’s plan was to phase out Envoy’s Embraer 140 (E140) flying in early January. American has updated that plan and advised us that they would like Envoy to continue flying 10 of the E140 aircraft into next year. These aircraft will then progressively retire between January and August 2016. This news is more significant than the extension of a number of airplanes. For the first time since AMR’s 2012 bankruptcy filing, Envoy’s net fleet count will remain stable between January and August 2016. This is great news for all Envoy employees, and underscores the positive trends happening all across our company. We have been able to perform additional flying for American in several locations, our dependability and reliability is improving and we do all of this with the highest degree of safety. For our pilots, this incremental E140 flying supports approximately 50 ERJ Captain positions that previously were not needed in the first half of 2016. Combined with the expected flow-through to American, this will result in long-awaited career progression for our First Officers. There is a building excitement at Envoy as we prepare for the arrival of the first new Embraer 175 (E175) aircraft in November. We are hiring pilots, flight attendants, mechanics and ground employees to support a successful large RJ operation, and training is already underway to ensure we’re ready to introduce the E175 into revenue service in February 2016. This additional flying is a testament to the outstanding service that Envoy provides to American. Thank you for helping to earn that business – and for all you do for our customers and each other. Pedro Fabregas Opinion rant.... If shrinking stops, they must replace each CA that flows or leaves. Add in the 2 jets from storage doing DCA flying and the 6-10 being discussed for MIA flying and it's begining to look like the shrinking is done long enough for the E175's to now become replacement jets instead of the original plan of them being growth jets after we shrank to 110ish jets. |

So really, whats the good news here? Those birds will stay a tad longer then poof gone again like the original plan. Just delaying the kick in the nuts. Thats all. Good Luck! |

A lot can change in 12 months. Last year the "original plan" was for the 135/140s to be parked by the end of 2015 and a good portion of the 700s would be transferred. Fast forward to today and "poof" plans can change pretty quickly in this industry.
Just more evidence that the people "running" that place don't have a fv(king clue. Big announcement Friday. |

1428 EDT. RJET trading @ 2.17. Perilously close to being de-listed, or worse. What are AAL's options in case RJET files. Wasn't AAL a party for the E-JET financing ?

Ok, here's a question: If AA does start pulling in classes to meet 800 hires for the year, when would this start? And what would prevent Envoy from withholding pilots from meeting 50% of that number due to being currently ahead on the flow?

By the end of the year the total have to be 50% regardless. Once they are done with the 824 it's metered 20 a month or 35%. When the last E-175 from the 40 get here, then it goes up to 50% or 30 a month. Now, it seems that the 40th airplane will be here couple of months after the last 824 pilot leave Envoy. So it should be 30 a month or 50% until the last pilot hired in Oct 10, 2011. After that group I lost count how it works. Just remember that 10/11/2011 pilot it's about 1800 in seniority out of 2000 pilots. So, it should keep moving steadily for a couple of years. Also remember that the 824 and protected pilot group are awards from arbitration. It's not contractual like the other 2 groups from Envoy, PSA and PDT, which can be modified in the future. |

Lots of "if's", but let's see what we get.
20/mo until November. 30/mo November to January, but we know it's likely going to stay at 20. And the training center usually slows to a crawl over the holidays, so throw December out. Let's say 25/mo when AA starts picking up hiring for next year (if 800 projected, flow number conservative/arbitrarily chosen number) 60 by end of this year. 25 a month for next year is 300. I don't know how many of the 824 are left, so I can't guess when it goes back to 20/mo or 35% but I think it should happen by the end of 2016. |
AA HR is now saying 800 new hires next year, 400 envoy flows, no class in December(2015).

It's what I've been trying to tell people for months now. Get into Envoy before the flood gates open and be ahead of the game. |

They usually close up shop or use December for catch-up, so I'd believe no classes at all.
