The Alitalia ones have been on the line for quite some time.

As I understand it, Delta owns those outright.

Those are at Endeavor, from Mesaba... we call them the Freedom 5.

Weird options too, dual HF radios, dual radar tuning heads, extra closets, yet no extra FA jumpseat up front. I'd be fine if I never flew them again but they seem to show up at my gate quite often.

We've had 2 concessionary contracts, they've given our planes away and stripped us of our name. After all that we are eeking out a better performance of airlines who are hiring CQFO's, offering jobs over the phone, have quick CA upgrades and are growing. Mesa's performance in DFW is abysmal and is becoming legendary. You made a point about overall airline performance and I made a counter point about a specific base and Mesa's failures there. Doesn't it seem reasonable that they watered down the lines if they are heavy on pilots. Seems like the other option would be to consolidate the lines and layoff the excess pilots. I am sure the Envoy mgmt is doing the best they can with what they have to work with. I doubt they have control over how many overall block hours they get.

At the expense of sounding harsh, is a senior Envoy captain that's about to flow upset he got a 72 hour line instead of 92 so the guy at the bottom could keep his job?

Our management has told us they are experimenting with our lines and staffing to show AAG that we have the warm bodies for additional block hours. Yet when the lines are published we get all 4 day trips, less than guarantee and 11 day off lines. They need to fix the lies not lie more.

I will say however, we will be hearing soon about several thousand more block hours from AAG for September from others who cannot staff it.

I understand, it just seems like they would hesitate paying half the guys over guarantee if the other half aren't even flying half of guarantee. Sounds like they leveled everybody until the E jets show and they need them, more than a cultural change, hopefully.

The problem isn't necessarily a 72 hour line. I'm fine with that. The problem is a 72 hr line with 11 days off non commutable on both ends instead of 15-19 off and commutable like they use to be. Now we end up with like 7days off a month and min pay.

Honestly, a junior pilot here would be better off getting furloughed. They have no future here, may as well get out and move on early before they waste too much time here like the rest of us.

[QUOTE=PilotCrusader;1939537]Well cool! Hopefully they solve the maintenance issues![/QU

All the new CRJ's coming off the line are built on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend.

I'm sure they asked us at AWAC to cover that! We are maxed out covering PSA flying!
