As far as utilization goes the end and the beginning of months we will zero out on reserves usually. The middle of the month is a bit slower. Ready reserve sucks. It it's the place you want to be if you don't want a four day trip. Some days they don't call and the next day they call right away.

Well, DFW 145 is the more senior than ORD and NY. So people just getting to DFW are usually going to have been a NH in ORD or NY. The stagnation over the past four years plus the 175 coming online has caused an uptic in reserve time recently. October we had 1.5 year FOs holding composite lines but In November it jumped back up.
This will change very fast over the next few months. I would be shocked if it was down below six months here pretty soon. Over the course of the next year if there is a delay in the 41st 175 then the 175 might start to stagnate.
If you look at the reserve list and date of hires then there are wide gaps of time for those pilots. In some cases pilots ten numbers apart in DFW were hired over ten months apart. (Not counting pilots who could of held a line but actual forced reserve pilots)

I'm currently waiting to start systems in a few weeks, with 145 ORD base... looking to bid for DFW.
Anyone have any references that I can look up to help me learn how to put in that request? (this was glossed over very briefly last week during indoc but I'm still learning the ropes)

I am currently interviewing for regional airlines and envoy is my next interview coming up. Could anyone please give me information about being assigned it to ORD, reserve times/upgrade times, etc.? Thank you very much.

Hit 3* This page shows your current status, next status (if any) your displacement preferences and vacancy preferences. These last two are the ones you want to focus on. You want DFW to be the first line under both displacement and vacancy.
So here's what you do. First, enter: 3P/DFW/FO/EMJ/D
This is your vacancy preference. Move it to your #1 slot by typing: 3P/MOVE # TO # example: 3P/MOVE 2 to 1
Now put in the Displacement preference: 3D/DFW/FO/EMJ/D
Move it to number 1 just like you did before, except it will look like this: 3D/MOVE # TO #
That's it. You're set.

So, this is a little off topic, but I would value (most) of the opinions on the matter.
I was given the pre-employment offer one week ago today. Got a call back today saying I didn't have enough time in the last 12 months. I asked how much more I would need, he said he'd ask and get back to me.
In as few words as possible, other than 2.6 hours flown with a CFI locally two weeks ago (got signed off on), I have zero flight time in ~3 years. I have ~500 hours of 135 time in a Caravan back in 2008. Built a lot of 172 time between 2009 and 2013.
I asked him about alternatives to paying for flight time since it wouldn't be relevant at all to 121 flying (other than getting my IPC signed off on, which I will still do regardless). I was told that the most relevant thing to show would be completion of a 121 ground school course. Other than that, good luck finding a 135 operation with no contract to build ~100 hours and bail.
So do I go to a 121 with no contract and complete ground school and jump ship (and feel like a huge d0uche the whole way through), or do I seek alternatives? My first reaction is to not burn a bridge, EVER. But then again, we all know an airline or two that may or may not deserve it. ><
Thoughts?
