It is time of check-in.
I don't know why that would be considered "sensitive".

-Skywest
-Expressjet by checkin
-Delta United people by check-in if in their colors.
-Oal by checkin.

Looks like someone dropped the ball and didn't add American to line 3 when we started doing American and Alaska work. (Or a recip couldn't be agreed)

RE: 14 CFR 117.21 — Reserve Status Designation

As all of you are aware, when Section 117 of the Federal Aviation Regulations was introduced, a number of changes occurred in the regulations governing duty and rest times for pilots.

As part of these regulations, long call and short call designations were defined regarding how pilots could be utilized in a reserve status. Recently, some pilots questioned these designations, or how these designations were being communicated to the pilots by the Company.

Envoy remains in full compliance with all applicable regulations. However, to answer questions that have been raised and to avoid any doubt about reserve status designations, this notice constitutes written designation that all pilot reserve activities and schedules are considered "short-call" and are conducted pursuant to the provisions of 14 CFR 117.21.

Regards, Cap in Ric Wilson Vice resident — Flight Operations

Yeah that is standard practice for reserves now. Day 1of every reserve sequence pre assigned 4 am rap. You CAN proffer out of it, for a trip or standby. But getting a different RAP is unlikely especially when you are junior.

Allowing OT pick-ups that transition into your work days is impacting the reserve proffering system. Though this impact may help you out if you are senior on reserve and in base. I believe it to be another wrench in proffering similar to pre-assigned RAP. Apparently this is what mainline AA is allowed to do and pretty much the only means of getting OT while on reserve.

What fleet are most new hires going into? What bases are being hired into? How difficult is getting DFW on the 175 right out of the gate?

It could also help on those commuters on reserve, if they have to come in early anyway, may as well have some OT to make it worth their time. I'm sure there are plus and minuses to it all, but it won't matter anyway because the company doesn't seem willing to negotiate on anything.
