Envoy

Thanks, my estimate was closer than I thought. If they actually put out a circa 100 bid every 3 months like they claim, the Nov 2015 hires could receive their upgrade award and be in class in under 2.5 years. Like many, I have seen too many broken promises to believe it before I see it but it would be really nice if this promise really does work out.
I imagine there are a lot of FOs that held out this time until they can hold a certain base, equipment or a line. They are the wildcards. It's nice to see things finally turning around after getting the Comair 2.0 threats and forced into multiple concessionary contracts.

RLF /CMP/RR (ready reserve) lines are a just like hard lines with only being awarded to one (1) single pilot in that status, ie. CA or FO.
RSV Lines are awarded anywhere from one (1) pilot to as many as five (5) from what I've seen. Again above info applies, status.

How do you calculate the number of reserve lines available? Do you just count the number of reserve and standby lines from the bid packet? With this new bid I'm around 20-30 from the bottom in DFW. Looks like there's 24ish reserve lines assuming there aren't multiples. Does that mean I could potentially hold a line out of training? Prepare for a ton of questions from people who should be able to look it up on the computer. They don't/didn't have a DECS 101 class. Is that something we should learn on our own or on IOE?

This is why you may see multiple lines that are identical. CS may want more people with this schedule so they will publish identical reserve lines.
Also, if you want a composite line there are TWO ways to bid for it. 1. Bid the composite line. 2. In the options section you can request a composite line.

The over the top praising Envoy as an absolute utopia, acting as if everything is rainbows and unicorns, acting as if there is absolutely no problem with the airline, while failing to acknowledge the significant QOL issues...well that also gets old. Look, I personally think that Envoy is a good place to work. Things are finally on the upswing. Upgrade time is dropping like a rock, pay incentives are here, flow is working, AA travel benefits are best in the industry, we are currently hiring like gang busters and being wholly owned by AA provides more security than a contract regional. I honestly think that now is a great time for new hires to get in.
Having said that, there are challenges that this pilot group face. Namely, the schedules. They're awful. They are destroying families, especially for commuters. Lines have low days off coupled with low pay. Crew hotels are getting worse and worse. Junior mans are out of control and the company has the audacity to start junior manning into 3 days and counting it as one. Now, as staffing gets back under control, the junior man issue should work itself out. Schedules, I'm beginning to worry will never improve to a decent level. At least not anytime in the near future.
Bottom line, like I said...overall I think Envoy is a good place to be. I think there is a bright future and I think things will continue to improve. I'd recommend to anybody to work for Envoy. There are a lot of pros, but you have to acknowledge the cons as well. And for CR700, dacuj and co. to come on here and act like sleazy used car salesmen, it really doesn't help the cause. You all come off as less than truthful, in-genuine, and like you'd say anything and everything to make a sale. If you guys toned it down and acted a little more real, then maybe the likes of Trinity Dawn and co. wouldn't feel the need to go overboard with the bashing in attempt to balance you guys out.
