Also, Envoy still has standard when it comes to hiring pilots. We still have a SIM portion of the interview process. Not EVERYONE is going to make it through to get a class date. Also we are a bit backed up on SIMs right now so we don't have to fill as many spots right now.

700s. We're done on 900s. Your rumor might not be far off. There is talk that FAA is going to stop us from taking anymore of yalls 7s because we can't maintain the planes we have. Our MX shop is going to pieces with guys leaving by the droves. I regularly fly tails with half a dozen or more MELs. I can't tell you how many RTG or random failures inflight I've done this summer...

The lack of incentives has passed. When you are talking about 50-60k in year 1 and the 75-80 in years 3-4 then you can't say people aren't going to enter the industry due to lack of compensation. The pay structure has been fixed and it looks like it is only improving for the future.

An Econ 101 class would teach you enough about economics to know that there is no shortage, presently. It's simple supply and demand. The supply exists, the price (compensation) just isn't high enough to bring the existing supply to the market in the quantities the regionals would prefer. That's not a shortage.
