700s. We're done on 900s. Your rumor might not be far off. There is talk that FAA is going to stop us from taking anymore of yalls 7s because we can't maintain the planes we have. Our MX shop is going to pieces with guys leaving by the droves. I regularly fly tails with half a dozen or more MELs. I can't tell you how many RTG or random failures inflight I've done this summer...

Hahahahahaha. This company will never get their act together. Best outcome would be merging us with y'all, PDT, or just folding us.

There has been an uptick in the wash out rate. I imagine that has trickled up to being a little bit more picky with whom positions are offered to.

Also, Envoy still has standard when it comes to hiring pilots. We still have a SIM portion of the interview process. Not EVERYONE is going to make it through to get a class date. Also we are a bit backed up on SIMs right now so we don't have to fill as many spots right now.
The pay structure has not been fixed. The bonuses are attracting people without a doubt, but don't equate that to the pay structure being fixed. One little hiccup in the industry and we can go back to making nothing.

What's the main cause of the wash outs?

Yes, you absolutely can. If the qualified pilots exist but chose not to take the job, the compensation (whether it be pay, opportunity, QoL) is not high enough.

An Econ 101 class would teach you enough about economics to know that there is no shortage, presently. It's simple supply and demand. The supply exists, the price (compensation) just isn't high enough to bring the existing supply to the market in the quantities the regionals would prefer. That's not a shortage.

There's no sim portion for interview. Unless they added again very recently.

We had two in my 175 class that didn't pass the sim. Both were putting in a ton of effort but their behind the yoke experience was rather marginal.

If you have less than 100 hours in the last 6months there is a sim. (I have heard).

They do the Sim in the interview if you have less than 100 hours in the last year. Two of six of us in our interview group did the Sim last month.
