That’s what they said about pay and the regionals have never seen $50/hr first year, ever!

They actually did start a 175 program a few years ago around the time of the RPA bankruptcy. Got to the point of having the manuals and everything done and could have started sending instructors/check airment to sims. Then DL shelved it and decided to prop up RPA. The $50 first year pay has been a long time coming, DL already told us to pound sand on the 175s. If we get anything else it's gonna be GoJets 700s. DL is gonna keep RPA around incase we act up somewhere down the road.

Anyway the only point I'm trying to make is that things are as good as they are gonna get at EDV. We're gonna get good pay but no 175s and no career progression (this matters to me more than a stupid airplane type). If AAG raises the pay at their WOs, I think you will see at least a few EDV pilots come over cause it's hard to argue with a guaranteed mainline job with the same pay EDV would get.

I agree, Envoy better follow suit or many others will be leaving. Forced captain upgrades, bad reserve rules and lower hourly rates...I don’t see how any of that is attractive.

You could make the argument that, “...oh you’ll be a captain in a year or two,” but 1000hours SIC isn’t a lot of time. And who wants to upgrade and sit reserve with 11days off a month, especially for the 60% of us that are commuters...

Soon, he'll have to pay attention. Or be told to pay attention.

How much flight time can a new hire FO expect the first year?
QOL - how's the ORD 145 and 175 look for a new hire if living in base? Is MIA still reasonably junior on the FO side? How senior is the CA side?
The friend says thanks in advance
