Yep. When I was hired as a street captain I expected to be on reserve. I just didn’t realize it would be for so many FO trips.

We have forced upgrades. Pretty sure all bets are off when predicting one could get an upgrade on the 175.

My only addition is he will likely be forced to upgrade to the 145 before he can hold 175. It is much harder to get the175CA from a different CA position due to the 30% rule.

A junior pilot with 500 hours 121 or less would likely get the 175 before a 1000 hr NH pilot would. MAYBE. Who knows.

In this scenario, I’m LGA based but live in DFW. My sequence starts at LGA with a deadhead back to DFW. Can I just start at DFW? If yes, do you get paid for a deadhead you never did?
