There is a bit of a bottleneck in training. Expect to do Indoc Monday to Friday. Weekend off and take Indoc test on Monday. Very likely that you will not continue training right away. I just did my indoc test on Monday and will not continue my training until the 20th. After that, my schedule looks a lot like others have said. There are some others in my hire class with much longer down time than mine either due to difference equipment or seniority. I know if you're trying to schedule something in advance that's not going to help but I actually like having a bit of extra time to study up on limitations/memory items/flows before getting into the heart of the training so it works for me.
As far as pay, was told we were getting the normal training pay the entire time. However, I was told we only got 16 hours per day per diem for days we actually attended training. Getting that for days at home would be a nice surprise. Obviously haven't been here long enough to say what the pay stub shows.

I hadn't heard that. Discouraging if true given that I'm starting training soon.

What are the D2 benefits?
Yep. Those travel benefits are actually active in that first week. Several guys used D2 to go home and come back over the weekend between that first week and the Monday test. Guy sitting next to me was excited about having the time and opportunity to use his travel benefits as a paid vacation due to the delay in training. (
