D1 is the highest priority and only you and your spouse/children are eligible. Don't use it to commute, as the higher priority isn't exactly going to give you higher access to the jumpseat.

D2 would be your everyday commuting passes. I.e., traveling to and from work.

D3 are passed you can hand to your friends. You only have a limited amount per year as well.

Hope this helps.

Don't forget D3 travel is not available immediately. I believe you don't get them for 2 years after DOH. At least that's how it was when I was hired.

Full travel benefits are available immediately, including D3. Been that way for just about ever.

You don't get zed passes for 6 months.

Zed is a deep discounted standby on other airlines.

On the 145 side, I felt that our instructors have been great; especially for IPT as well as the prep for the PV/SV. I feel for them because we are the first 145 AQP class and everyone is still working out the kinks. In the end, they were pros all the way and have done a wonderful job.

I apologise if this question has already been asked. Which most likely it has, I'm looking at applying at Envoy. At the ripe young age of 55, Is it possible to hold DFW out of training? Thanks for the info.

Maybe not right out of the gate, but within a few months. I was awarded it back in December with the new bid, but I won't make the move until May.

Thanks for the response. Seemed to have read somewhere that bid seniority out of training was based on age instead of SS# like other airlines. Any truth to that?
