Why doesn't ExpressJet upgrade their APC profile to reflect the actual upgrade time? Advertising a ten year upgrade will drive away prospective pilot applicants.
On the ASA side, the most recent position notice we upgraded a DOH of 12/27/07 in LGA. We have about 30 people until we skip to late 2010 DOHs and there are a fair amount of people bypassing upgrade.

Gotta pick the CRJ, you'll do your training in ATL. ATL is pretty senior and shrinking with the addition of LGA. Also, Expect ATL to go senior after the dust settles over at endeavor too after it is done opening up also. I bet either way you are waiting for it...YRMV

Good to know.

You'd think the ExpressJet recruitment team would update the APC profile after every position notice so it reflects the most current and "attractive" data to prospective pilot candidates who sift through the Airline Profiles on this site as they search for an employer.

All it takes is 2 minutes of clicking around the APC Airline Profiles to know which Regional recruitment teams are motivated to get new pilots.

Why? It will always be 7 years or more of an upgrade at XJT. Almost all the other airlines are showing under 2 years now.

Somebody is salty that they couldn't upgrade. And some of these "2 year" upgrades at other places are awards with no class date or hope of actually flying in the left seat. We aren't trying to con everyone as bad as the other regionals seem to be.
Envoy(awarding captains at 2yrs doh but wait until 5 years to get a class)
CommutAir(cancelling upgrades and now a soon to be a transitioning fleet)
Mesa (60k compensation which includes benifits and hotels haha )
Air whiskey (bloated 3year compensation package with advertised *18 month* upgrades while they sit currently above 5yrs)
Endeavor (not sure how long that upgrade time will stay low with the amount they have hired in the last 3 years *ALOT*)
PSA and Piedmont (how's that 20yr flow working out with ~1 pilot going a month)

There's ALOT of BS here but I at least I felt like there was more honesty coming from Xjt or maybe it's just me and this Kool aid tastes real good.

I can tell you that we are currently flowing 2007 hires, and will be down to 2011 hires by the end of next year. Flow at PDT and PSA are legitimately 6-7 years. I think that Envoy's may be about the same, or less. It all depends on numbers.

Our upgrade is less than 2 years until you START class, and so is PDT's. Two year upgrades are a real thing.

This is probably why we have been hiring a TON of ExpressJet pilots.

Excuse me if I'm wrong but you guys aren't advertising a sudo upgrade like envoy seems to be. I've been reading over there that you'll get awarded the upgrade class at 2 years but there's guys still at 5yrs still waiting to get into the actual class and haven't been in the left seat yet.
What's the flow average seem to be a month at PSA+PDT

Give us a year. TFAYD 1.50 so we can bid on new flying?

Please. Are you one of those people from the recruiting dept? Honesty coming from XJT? Let me leave this here for just a few minutes.

Ouch is that July of this year 2017. The last captain I flew with was in the March upgrade class and said there was about a half a dozen. I guess that's better than nothing with a shrinking fleet. I'm not sure what's going on with the ASA side it's like we're two different companies lol
