To think they they would lose money for any significant amount of time and/or shutdown/shrink because you "have a good relationship with mgmt" or "they wouldn't do that to us" is so beyond naive we need to coin a new term.
Go on to pornhub and search "management wet dream" and you'll come across a video of a Skywest crew doing a before start checklist while smiling for the camera.
