To add: you’d have to be here at least 12 years to have the seniority to work those same hours. Anything less and you’re on reserve. I know you work in the junior base, but even there the most junior lineholder is 3/07 hire. And reserve red flag is nearly impossible to pick up.

You’re damn right about that. There needs to be some serious movement here to fix that problem. I’d also recommend to the union to reduce the restrictions on reserves picking up extra flying. The other top tier regionals like Republic and Endeavor allow it and it’s popular.

After United acquired their stake in C5 they instituted CA pay for FOs after year 1. Let’s see if they do something like that here. Nobody in their right mind should come here for an 8 year upgrade and a few shiny 175s (that will go senior). This upgrade situation is out of control.

Hiring numbers are going up and up. As long as that keeps up, reserve times will keep coming down. That’s the trend right now.
