Fact is....you’re a part-time pilot with a full-time chip on your shoulder. I agree with 90% of what you write, I just don’t agree with the level of venom that accompanies it. For a guy who doesn’t depend on this company for income, you sure are angry about stuff.
As for being blinded by shiny airplanes....i don’t think that’s what anybody cares about. It’s the security that comes with them. Not that anything is secure in this industry.

Expect an announcement In January after the holidays... the fact is, someone is losing 25 planes for these 175's. No way UAL will make an announcement when one of their regional carriers will be left with the short end of the stick during the holidays (the busiest travel time of the year) Ual wont announce anything until they "have to" and If I was management I would let everything be the way it is right now until we get out of holiday travel and into the new year then release the news.
If the -175’s are awarded XJT will probably be forced to park -145’s or CRJ’s to staff them.

And yet every day they wait more and more pilots desert ExpressJet. How many have been lost to Kalitta? CRJ flights at ORD are being cancelled due to a lack of crews. Will they get done from the airline(s) that lose? Probably, but not nearly enough to make up for the losses.

The 200 experiment is an absolute waste of time and money. It’s simply the company, desperately trying to hold on to what staffing they have left, and keep a handful of guys that are CRJ qualified. It’s a terrible failure on the company’s part. All the lies and empty promises that have been told for years and years are now starting to catch-up with United and XJT Management.
Pilots are leaving in droves to go elsewhere, I heard that 150 are out to Kalitta alone.
Too many lies.

Everyday a xjt pilot leaves the average seniority adjusts closer to junior. My guess atl wants all the 90 hires gone. And isn’t upset one bit by them “bailing.”
I’ve seen the xjt training center handle close to 1200 new pilots a year PLUS FAs, dispatchers, schedulers, MX, rampers, cleaners and even small chartered stuff.
Perhaps it’s a calculated game of chicken just like AA did with envoy? Obviously junior equals cheaper.
