Melit, who are you?? Who do you work for?? For a person who clearly doesn't work for XJT and comes on the Xjt forums EVERYDAY, posting negative stuff all day long shows you have a pathetic life and I feel sorry for people like you. I see you post mostly negative xjt posts... what is your problem with xjt?? why such the hatred? You cant go through life with so much hatred, this is the problem with the country today. People hate themselves and how their lives have turned out, so they go put other people down and spend time being negative towards others. You must have no wife, kids, no life at all. I think you need to get off the forums and maybe go workout, get yourself in shape and be healthy and find yourself a nice woman, spend some time with her and start enjoying life a little and that should bring your personality up and bring you up from depression. I am honestly concerned about people like you. Truly concerned!!

A possible plan B would involve a new small narrow body at mainline with 100 seats to reduce dependency on 50 seaters, which UA is clearly avoiding. But I don’t see any room for plan C, D, etc.

They probably do. But those plans depend on getting tons of applications motivated by SJS. United hasn't fully comprehended the pilot labor market at the regional level.

I think many of the bean counters right now view the exodus of senior pilots at XJT as a good thing, thinking they can easily be replaced by junior (less expensive) pilots. To some extent, this did work for Endeavor and Enovy, though the latter was through flow. That may work but to a lesser extent. You may have some GoJet and Mesa pilots coming over if they are losers in this deal but that will probably be it barring any home run with UAL. And by a home run, I mean a flow which just about everyone agrees is not happening. So a bunch of "ifs" and "maybes" followed by hope that it will attract pilots.

Whatever ends up happening, I just really hope that the bitter people who left, CPP flunkies, and everybody else who is upset about their own lives keep posting all of their expert, UNBIASED analyses of the situation.....because that never gets old. Ever.

Personally I’m not bitter about what I got from the company. I was able to get some good experience and move on, albeit later than I originally thought. So whatever happens it won’t really affect me anymore and I hope things do turn out well for those still there.
Each passing day, however, that becomes less and less likely. I’ve heard the same song and dance too many times- “We were close to a deal but...” I fear this time will be no different.

It amazes me that Skywest has now almost fully consumed the ASA side's flying. They have an ATL, DTW, DFW and LGA base. I think CLE and EWR are next for them and sayonara XJT.
