Is it doable? Yes. If someone is that enterprising as an F/O they can certainly engineer themselves up a job at an LCC and making double that an hr within a year.

At most places people try and bank as many hours in the first year or two as an F/O to get their 1,000 SIC in order to upgrade at the first opportunity. That’s not so here as he’s a 4 year F/O. Upgrade is not at 1.5 - 2 yrs here.
You clearly are speaking to people who have no idea what the industry is like. 120 credit hours consistently, red flag or not is not sustainable unless you live in base.

All you have to do here is be a lineholder, be at least competent at trading trips in the ILIW. You can drop to AT LEAST 19 days off of credit and 60-70 credit hours. Pickup Red Flag, two 20 hour 3 days (build out of base DHD on both ends) that’s another 60 credit. That’s 120 credit at minimum. It’s easy. 120 credit X 48 hour = 5760
300 x 1.95 = 585 per diem =
6320 gross per month with 12-13 days off.
6320 X 12= 75,900 + 10,000 EQO= 86,000 gross.
We aren’t even using things like vacation trip touch and picking up even more flying into min off days. If you are a lineholder and you are not making money here blame yourself.

Problem with this statement is that if EVERYONE was “competent”, your success in working the system wouldn’t be so....successful. You need a significant chunk of the group to not know what you are talking about to achieve this. It’s not typical nor is it even something the majority can work out.

How about you give us a guess how junior (senior really) the 30 175 upgrade slots go in ORD? How about the 145 upgrades that get backfilled?
