respectfully, fellow out of work RJ pilot..

Most say no concessions until their head is on the chopping block. I’ve ridden on XJet many times, and they’ve always been friendly and professional. Hate seeing this for such a good group, best of luck!

Will it actually go to a vote, or will the MEC make that decision on their own?

again, I absolutely hope that doesn’t happen. Just think it’s a possibility.

Didn’t they just do this with Trans States lol why not XJT too

I respect the pressure, but also think they're leading you on just as with the 175. Your destiny is set, good or bad, and pilots are not in control of a CPA.

You're forgetting that Skywest already operates over half of all the 50 seat regional flying that UAL contracts. They are getting more of those 50 seaters back as the come off of Delta service. They (Skywest) already operate over 180 CRJs for UAL.

not sure where you got 180 but skywest operates 103 total CRJ-200s for UAL. About the same size as XJT and about 1/3 of pre Covid 50 seat flying, (excluding the 550) ~1/3 skywest, ~1/3rd XJT, ~1/3 C5/ZW

XJT pilots have been screwed more times than a 10 dollar streetwalker, but all it takes is one pilot group to give in to concessions to screw the entire industry.

While I'm at C5 and acknowledge I may be the short-term beneficiary of what I'm about to say, I must beg XJT pilots not to give in, even if it means XJT dies. You hold the future of the industry in your hands. If you capitulate, we will all eventually be forced to do the same. A rising tide floats all boats, as they say, but if the tide goes out we'll all run aground.

I left the industry due to pay and only came back because it had increased. And I'm fully willing to leave again before agreeing to any further pay cuts simply to send a message to the greedy c-levels who run this industry. I realize not everyone has the opportunities in other industries I do, but I do know that if pay goes back to what it was in the naughts you'll be better off working in any other industry. Sure, it won't be as fun, but what's the fun in making burger flipper wages taking the risks we do every day? I won't stand for it, and neither should you.

Would any concessions go into a vote? Or would it be passed in the best interest of the group?

UA didn’t say one 50 seat operator. They said one 145 operator.
