”EXTENSION OF NOTICE
Additional notice is required when the date or schedule of dates of a planned plant closing or mass layoff is extended beyond the date or the ending date of any 14-day period announced in the original notice as follows:
• If the employment action is postponed for less than 60 days, additional notice should be given as soon as possible and should include refer- ence to the earlier notice, the new action date, and the reason for the postponement. The notice need not be formal but should be given in a manner that will provide the information to all affected employees; or
• If the postponement is for 60 days or more, a new notice is required. Routine periodic notice, given whether or not a plant closing or mass layoff is impending and with the intent to evade specific notice as required by WARN, is not acceptable.”

Probably more like it was plastered right here on APC. Journos troll these places for juicy info and the insode scoop. Once they have it all they need to do is fill in the blanks.
The article read like a conglomeration of this thread.....

Its going to be XJT that stays. Otherwise Commutair being cheaper UA would have already pulled the plug. They just want XJT to come down further. I think during these times being part of a more established operation is key to survival. The smaller ones probably won’t make it. Good luck to all.

I didn't bring up the Unibomber, somebody else did. I brought up GWB. My point is that you brought up the education of the writer of the NBC piece like it somehow made it less bias. The ironic thing is that the education institution your brought up is perhaps the most liberal educational institution in the world.,

The Oklahoma City Bomber served in the military. Guess veterans cant be trusted either.....
Do you see how stupid this line of thinking is? Viewing all alumni of higher education institutions with suspicion because of one guy is as dumb as being skeptical of all veterans because of one guy.
The cult of ignorance and contempt you guys have for academics is unreal

United hasn’t ever really g(n)as about who’s established being a key to survival.

Well it seems that on the C5 side no discussion on this was given by their union. Making it obvious that we are being used to concede to a lower pay rate. Unless their union is in on this and supersedes the need for union in the first place, calling for a systematic overhaul of #defundtheunion. I’m sure all this was precedented.
