This one is worse, but these things never are on anyone’s radar, yet here they are.

Default ExpressJet or CommutAir

United: ExpressJet or CommutAir

United is about to choose who wins and who loses. Best of luck to all involved.

Its going to be XJT that stays. Otherwise Commutair being cheaper UA would have already pulled the plug. They just want XJT to come down further. I think during these times being part of a more established operation is key to survival. The smaller ones probably won’t make it. Good luck to all.

The sad part is, none of this should have ever happened to the airlines or the economy. They could have kept things running normally and let it up to individuals to decide if they want to take protective measures and things would have been back to normal a long time ago.

There is literally no country on the planet with normal air travel right now.

depending on how senior you are, you would have probably already been furloughed if they had done that. Yes, the drop would have been less severe, but still significant enough for furloughs. And since the drop wouldn’t have been as dramatic, there would have been no bailout.

Congrats on high morals!
Hmmmmm I bragged? Simply responding to the condescending tone of the OP who stated that moving on was a bad choice. And while we’re at it sport I have been furloughed.

I’d be amazed if you could find Sweden on a map.

The whole airline is about to be on a permanent furlough.

So you'd prefer a more dramatic drop just so we could get a 3 month bailout and be in danger of permanently losing your job? If they had done that, the drop would have been minor compared to what it was and we'd be almost back to normal by now.
