Mitsubishi now owns Bombardier. They would prefer airlines but the MRJ instead of trying to support the CRJ’s. I’ve heard CRJ parts are going up in price but that could be speculation.

I think that SkyWest, Republic, and Mesa already fly all of the allowable 70+ seaters. The couple 175’s at XJT are headed to SkyWest. Air Wisconsin doesn’t have a very big fleet of 200’s. SkyWest has a bunch, and the rest of the 50 seat fleet is with Expressjet and CommutAir. If United does cut 50 seat lift to levels described as almost gone, thing of the past, or significant reduction, what exactly are the partially owned companies who exclusively fly an airplane on the chopping block going to operate? Not trying to rub people’s noses in what is going on. Actually curious what people think will happen to those companies

SKYW is never gonna touch another regional with a ten foot pole.
what would any other regional get from acquiring a company that they couldn’t get from just hiring the pilots?
