Just to clarify, Mesa owns 18 and is leasing the other 42 from United. It's spelled out in the "properties" section of the annual report.

Understanding May-->Sep, but was Brasilia going to deliver 20 airplanes in May? Or was that when they were to start?

SH last email stated it was slated for 6/1. However that was mid March. It’s probably safe to assume it’s going to be delayed several months. FA’s are hearing end of 2020

Don’t tease me. I interviewed last month. It went well(allegedly). Now I’m just waiting.

why do you need a consolidated list? All you need is to move the UA owned aircraft over to mainline and have UA pilots fly them.

Voila - no furlough at mainline.

that is never gonna happen but I don’t understand all these staple fantasies by mainline folks.

I really don’t get the staple argument either. Prior to the virus, if United had decided to take rj’s that they own to mainline, they probably would have just hired off the street rather than staple. The HR folks are big on picking who they want and wouldn’t want to give up their control over the interview process. Now if they suddenly decided to take everything in house, United pilots soon to be furloughed would train on them. Giving serious thought to how to spend your lottery millions is probably a better use of one’s time than worrying about mainline rj’s. It sounds like they are planning on a different business model after this. They have said that 50 seat flying will go away, but they haven’t said how. Do they plan on taking more flying back, do they think that they will get scope relief, or are they planning on a bankruptcy judge giving them what they want? We don’t know how it is going to work out, but it sounds like big changes are in the works.

I don't know how or why we are resuming interviews especially since we are about to hit the worst upcoming weeks with convid-19, clearly they (upper management) got thumbs up from the top, meaning United we will be around for a min. When this blows over. I know no one knows, what will happen. I do know all of our CEOs are talking and discussing and strategizing for the future. The decisions and actions that happen October 1, 2020. Are being made RIGHT NOW. Hopefully your hiring teams are looking to start interviewing and hiring soon to.
If you guys are looking to interview once again when are all the new hires who were furloughed from the training center being called back?
