Unbelievable.
You were one of the furloughed ASA pilots weren't you? I suspect you have a better view of what it is like than their EWR FO Rep does....

Whoo hoo this game is fun!!!!!!

If you read on that "other" board, the CRJ reps like to tell CRJ pilots that ERJ pilots are making 300K a year!!!!!!

Are the CRJ reps that far out of touch or just a bunch of ignorant pr1cks?

I was furloughed and therefore take extra offense at his comment. Being jobless for over a year making quite a bit less than even first year guarantee on the government dole because you can't find a single decent-paying job hurts a lot. But at least I "got to spend more time with my family." According to Joe Costanza the XJT rep, my quality of life improved because I was furloughed.

That's news to me and my family.

Yes, making crazy claims about W-2's is the same as an elected rep making a condescending, insensitive comment telling a fellow pilot they're better off unemployed. Which, I know from past experience, is not anywhere near the truth and is highly offensive.

You can say it much better than I can....For the sake of their junior pilots, I would encourage you to say this to them on the PIPE...It means much more coming from you than it does from me.

Normally it wouldn't matter what someone says on the message boards, but that is one of their MEC members who is making decisions that will affect their pilots.

Let's see if he has the stones to respond to you here, since he also posts on this board as JoeyMeatballs.

And now you're just exercising some douche-baggery of the most epic level. Taking something that you read on a message board that's hearsay AT BEST and using a guys name in the process. You sure you want to go down that road?

No real desire to get into it over there. As an elected representative, he knows what he said was highly offensive and inappropriate and could cost him his position, just as it would any other politician. But he's not my rep, so I'll let his own pilots make the judgment call there.

If God forbid they happen to be furloughed, they'll find that XJT rep's "no big deal" attitude as offensive as I do.

He signed his name to those comments. If the guy who is posting under the name "SAABoroowski" on this thread isn't EWR FO Rep Joe Costanza, as his forum signature claims, I will retract my statement, apologize to anyone named Joe Costanza, and suggest to the administrators over at the Pipe that they deal with the imposter accordingly.
