Good news for the ERJ folks. Looks like the "no ERJ classes for the foreseeable future" turned out to be just no classes for a few months.

Yes, and CT's "no plans for CRJ position notice" turned into 20 upgrades in a matter of weeks. Meanwhile EFB has been imminent for 10 years. I have pretty much no use for management prognostications at this point. They really just move from one avoidable crisis to the next.

In any case this is great news! Hopefully this is the beginning of things breaking loose like in 2006/2007.

What was the whole reason for bringing that 175 to A-tech? There was big hoopla about it coming and then poof nothing. Didn't Comair also bring in the E-170/5 to CVG to showcase it to the employees.

I think it was just a tour that Embraer was doing -- going around to different regionals and showing off their airplane.

Yes. They were trying to sell a pay freeze (and it worked.) Could be trying to do the same thing at Expressjet.

If they were showing it off for management, they should have gone to SGU, where those decisions are made. The fact that they brought it to ATL tells me they were showcasing it to the employees. "Take a big enough pay cut, and this big shiny jet could be yours. Refuse, and someone else will get it. Hurry!"

I hope nobody is buying it. Decisions like this are made years in advance, regardless of employee actions. If it's coming, it's coming, if it's not, it's not.

I hope I am not wrong in believing that "most" of our pilot group will not fall for it but you know there is always a few who would love the opportunity to fly this.
