Now I know it says "MAY ELECT" to drop something to bring me back down under 28.5, but they won't because we are short staffed and they are concerned a reserve guy can't cover that last round-trip. That was more at what I was getting with originally.
The point was that scheduling will know (or should know but probably wont until you tell them) that you are over, the day prior. At that point, they are required to make it legal again, not on the last leg at the outstation. Otherwise, if you and the company wait until the last leg at the outstation, YOU and the company would have operated in violation of FARs.

If your actual plus future scheduled goes over thirty in 7 they have to adjust it.
Let me put it this way, if it does go above 30 before the 7th day, then yes they have to adjust it right away. But if it doesn't happen until the 7th day, then no. I had to look that one up to refresh my memory.

Stop blaming crew-utilization. You don't have all the facts sitting there arm-chair CEO'ing
Are you for real chief? Wasn't a cell around Atlanta all day. Sure little pop ups but nothing "Severe". How long have you been with the company? Never in the past have they used IROPS and SWAPS so much. You must at least notice this if you have been here for a few years.

Yah, and never in the past have they pulled all the CDO's from the bid and unstacked for AUGUST!!!! They unstack nearly every other month it seems. The day's of unstacking Nov and Dec only are looooooong gone.

They pulled CDOs because they know people will pick them up, so why waste a whole lines worth on a pilot? If we were smart, which we're not, no one will pick up these naps.

Just announced yesterday that Delta will begin classes Nov of this year. At least 300 pilots in 2014.

So, start applying and get the F out!

I've noticed a lot of other airlines for "reserve" guarantee (monthly pay) is a couple hour shy of the monthly average for line holder pilots, I think AirTran is 3 hours less than the bottom of the bucket. With these 90 hour min months. Souldn't or wouldn't it be nice for reserves to get paid 87 hour min guarantee. Does anyone know if this is being looked at in the Negotiations?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say no.
