What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

Interesting. I wonder if they are implying that the root behind the financial performance lies in the lowly bid CPA's that were negotiated on behalf of SkyWest Inc., and the poor operational performances seen over and over again by XJT?

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot you know everything. Then please enlighten all of us...
How does SkyWest do all that pro-rate flying for United without a codeshare agreement?
How does SkyWest do all that pro-rate flying for Delta without a codeshare agreement?
How does SkyWest do all that pro-rate flying for American without a codeshare agreement?

Probabaly because the FFD contracts offset the losses. Don't become snarky with me simply because I corrected you earlier.

it only makes sense for them to furlough L-XJT pilots and offer them "preferred interviews" at Skywest as there will be lots of qualified pilots on the street...not to mention, the majors aren't hiring FO's in droves right now, and probably won't for another 2 years, so where are these guys going to go?...the majority will go to SKYW if this scenario plays out.

Everything gets up gauged and frequency goes down. Passengers get bigger more comfortable aircraft and I doubt they will miss the round trip that goes away.

This is what everyone of us xjt pilots have been saying for YEARS! It's not the labor costs. CC mentioned that when answering questions.

It's never the pilot labor costs that make or break an operation, you're 100% correct, it is an easy scape goat though. Ref: Comair. Delta could have kept them around with pocket change, but you know how Delta works.
In regards to the furlough speculation I wrote, looking back on it I probably shouldn't have written it even though I was speculating, I apologize if I made anyone mad. I really don't want anyone to get furloughed as that is a living Hell starting over, especially at a regional. I'm just afraid that could occur with the number of 145s coming offline with the addition of E175s on the SKYW side, assuming a JCBA does not come to fruition anytime soon.
Some positives to take away from the call though...

Yep, parking those 50 seaters should be the thing that busts up the statistical tie at the bottom of the JD Powers satisfaction survey.... not improving the crap ass customer service or anything like that... based on that logic, why not park all the planes... your customers would love you then.

I didn't say parking the 50 seaters would win us awards in customer satisfaction, but it sure isn't going to make our numbers worse.
The 50 seater is the worst jet ever introduced into service and they can't die fast enough.

If that happened, no Expressjet pilot on this planet would be dumb enough to go to there.
