Actually, no. They would not require retraining until they pass their grace month (13 months from check ride). The notice says that the first check comes 3-10 days after training.Originally Posted by wmupilot85
So a brand new hire, could theoretically quit for 2-3 weeks, then reapply and get the bonus. Not like they would say no, they need the bodies.
The EFB LOA is out. I'm not quite sure if I'm fond of the reimbursement bit should one leave the company. I would think the device if in good condition should be able to be given back at no cost to the pilot. (I suppose that applies if you sell it back but the onus remains with the pilot to find a buyer). Glad to see the process in the final stretch though, everyone especially commuters will welcome the reprieve I'm sure.

I can't believe the union negotiated in favor of writing that into the MOU. But they know they have to buy 7,000 of them between all 3 groups and we all know the reality is all 3 sides will shrink. Yeah, they could just give the device to your replacement, but that's the thing, as people leave for the most part, they don't need new FO's. They'll be left holding a tablet that was obsolete before they even purchased them and nobody who will need to use it. It's probably also a cheap, desperate attempt to slow attrition too.Originally Posted by Speedbird2263

It absolutely is being used to slow attrition. Why else put out an LOA and hype EFB's 4 months before they expect them to rollout?Originally Posted by motormadness

With the way they have it worded, I think I'm ok with it. Lets say the company claims you owe $350, but Gazelle.com only says $250. You pay the company $250, and then Gazelle.com will give you $250 for yours. You don't need to find a buyer, unless you want to go through eBay or craigslist.Originally Posted by Speedbird2263
