I don't see the rosy future you do.
that's not quite true...they will have those 15 AA ERJs...

where are you talking?? I don't know anywhere that would hire me as a captain with a pay raise.... do you mean TSA?

Yup, I mean 6 month upgrade and a pay raise while you wait. Just saying opportunities are out there. Also, Alligant and Frontier are gobbling FOs up. They were hiring people on the spot at the last AeroCrew job fair.

yes, I would never leave for another regional though. with TSA the captain qualified FO program, you never know how much pic you'll get, and if you'll stay that way as FOs senior to you upgrade... I've been in this industry for 7 years. It changes on a dime! It would be a massive risk to go to another regional....nothing is assured. not even 6 month upgrade...
TSA isn't a pay raise either. I'm topped out for a year now at 43.xx no other regional matches that at first year pay lol

going to a LCC wouldn't be a bad move, at least if you got stuck somewhere, its much better pay. and less risk of going out of business... although allegiant is not very good... frontier might not be too bad

You are right. I don't feel bad for anyone at this company. It is a choice at this point and must be everyone that is still here is too lazy to leave. I mean that TSA PIC qualified FO program seems legit, and Allegiant has a short upgrade time if you are willing to be on permanent TDY and go on strike shortly. Lots of great options out there. How do I decide where to go?

Well, it is a pay raise as you get 43/hr right seat and 66/hr left seat. You would fly a lot left seat. Sure there are inherent risk, but what really does a regional FO at like Endeavor or Envoy have to lose?

Lots of seniority, which is everything in the Airline business.

Can you please explain to me how you know you will get a 'lot of left seat' time?

Look at some of you guys promoting the regional shuffle... The only reason TSA, etc can staff anything is because people jump to chase that magic PIC time. These companies bank on poaching pilots by selling PIC time like Timmy here. But If people wouldn't do that $%&! then these places wouldn't be able to staff properly for their ridiculous growth percentage. Growth is all fine and dandy, and it's a good thing for TSA, or anyone. I'm not saying XJT is the bees knees, but too many people are hurting this industry by running around from regional to regional. If you just try hard and network, there are far better options out there for many senior FOs than going to some other regional and thinking you're going to have the phone ring when you hit 1000 TPIC.

lol, yes, lots of options, be careful going to TSA. as soon as they can't staff 35 aircraft, they are going to turn down the planes...then where will you be...gave up a 7 year FO job, for new hire, with no upgrade in sight, downgraded to permanent FO
