What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

Could someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't unstacking supposed to only be for a portion of the month that has a lot of open time ? Not the whole entire month ? My whole schedule for the month was all out of unstacking.

In your unstacking options, did you select it to go back to your first bid sheet, or stay on your unstack bid sheet?

No they can do whatever the hell they want to do. Our union is like a old lady with no teeth. Only reason most volunteer for anything union is so they don't have to fly. ASA is awful and Brad is now full of **** too. Give me a vote I will vote yes for anything. I am exhausted.

If you look at all the regionals that voted in capped 12/4 pay scales, higher healthcare insurance cost-sharing, lower vacation and sick accrual, they are all wholly-owned regionals that have the carrot of a guaranteed fleet plan, and flow-through or guaranteed interview. Unless our management can offer all those things, then they don't have a viable argument. Delta and American can use those carrots (guaranteed fleet plan and career progression) as their recruiting tools for endeavor, envoy, psa, pdt. Our management cannot offer either of those. So they need something else as a recruiting tool. Pay scales capped off at 12/4 and higher insurance costs will not help recruiting efforts. If anything, the fact that these wholly owned carriers needs these carrots, along with bonuses, only strengthens our position in not taking concessions and actually getting a better contract in order to attract pilots because eventually all regionals will have an ATP course as well. American gave XJT aircraft and Delta has given more aircraft and recently more block hours, so its not like we cannot do it profitably.
And to believe that Skywest airlines doesn't have some control over our career progression is very naive. Again, look at our current situation, and the flying that we were not awarded, our stagnation, and a growing Skywest. While its obviously true that the flying is awarded from the majors, Skywest still has control over where those planes go. If we have the "leverage" Nevets claims we have, then why was our TA so ****ty? Why are we shrinking? The ONLY thing they have to offer us is a "competitive" contract. In my opinion, that means basically the same TA as before with a signing bonus, and planes from Skywest. If we don't take it, I would expect us to be turned into an Envoy, Endeavor, or worse, a Comair. Which is already happening. So please, don't listen to the Nevets of the world, who live in some fairy tail la la land, otherwise you're in for a lot of disappointment.

... First off, ExpressJet Airlines is a WHOLLY OWNED subsidiary of Skywest Inc. So, just like American did to Eagle, they can shrink us and transfer flying to Skywest Airlines, or allow contracts to expire, then rebid for them, and be awarded the flying, to Skywest Airlines. And lets not forget all the airplanes they have on order. All of which are currently going to Skywest Airlines. Its a fact that they are already doing it. So, since we can easily be whipsawed against the cheaper Skywest pilots, which is also something they are already doing, ...
Expressjet = Mesa
Skywest = Freedom
Mesa/Expressjet were/are being whipsawed by the corporate parent during contract negotiations. Mesa pilots stopped the whipsaw by bringing the Freedom pilots onto the Mesa seniority list as a part of the TA that was voted in by the Mesa pilots.
Am I the only one who has noticed the similarity? I may have missed it, but I have yet to read any post on any message board that has brought this to light.

Someone please explain to me how Expressjet and Skywest Airlines are not in the same situation that Mesa and Freedom Airlines was in several years ago. Anyone on these boards that was here during that time should know what I'm talking about.
