As for the 50 seat thing. They will be replaced eventually.
I was hired 4 years ago and I was on reserve a total of 6 months.

That is seriously a city pair and scenario? I thought the AQP scenarios were supposed to be created based on chronic problems they are seeing on the line via FOQA and LOSA.

That probably is a chronic problem and typical city pair on the ERJ side.

If you're new to the career, READ THIS!

I am not sure if you are sarcastic or not, but if the guy want to be ORD based he will be on reserve indefinitely. I am hitting the 2 years mark soon and I would be on reserve in any base other than EWR and IAH. In those bases I am a very junior line holder....

The attrition doesn't help the junior people as most of the attrition is from the bottom of the list.

thats what the interviewers told me over a year ago. "we have so much hiring you wont be on reserve more than 6 months"....but yeah we need to hire bodies for the movement to occur. if it aint obvious by now....

Hey guys. Thanks for all the info so far. My goal is to be ord based and I am new to the career. Just finished up with interview process with a few different regionals. I only applied to places that have Chicago bases. So you can figure out the options based off that. Just the whole industry makes you wonder if your making the right Decision, but I didn't start flying to teach my entire life. Thanks

Get used to it. This whole career is a crap shoot. You just make an educated decision and don't look back. But save yourself some trouble and don't go GoJet. That's just common sense.
