Wrong wrong and wrong again.

Quite simply....this is disgusting and has been for years. Completely embarrassing that NOTHING has been accomplished between the 2 pilot groups.

Embarrassing failure on Skywest Inc's part that this "merger" has been an epic failure, never should have been attempted in the first place in such a manner. FAIL FAIL FAIL on management AND the union...DISGUSTING FAILURE.

What makes you think Skywest sees a failure? They want to keep pilots divided. If they had wanted a real merger, Skywest Airlines would have been involved too. In retrospect, that would have gone much more smoothly because far more would have been given up for a true 3 way merger. This has been job well done from their perspective. They will just throw away the unionized side(s) of the corporation when all is done.

Default training in-house?

Is ExpressJet training considered "in house" or is it done at FlightSafety with their people?
Whichever way, is that considered good or bad or doesn't matter?

Simulators are done at FlightSafety, but with our own instructors, so it is considered in house. All ground school is in house. The training is excellent in most cases, good to very good in almost all others. Every now and then someone has a bad experience, but few and far between. They want you to pass, so if you apply yourself and have a good attitude, you should have no problem.

On the ERJ side the sims are often done in-house (ExpressJet owns three ERJ 145 simulators). Our training department is excellent!

May I ask what's your aviation background? (I don't understand why would anyone come work here right now).

I've said this for a long time. If Skywest offered to merge all three airlines, I would've been fine with their work rules (as bad as some of them are) and flight line. But instead, their plan is going perfect and we still have three separate pilot groups, just like they wanted in 2008.

Can anyone explain to me what the biggest differences are between ASA, Expressjet, and Skywest contracts? Besides the bidding systems...
