The people who are rumored to be typed are not. But there is a training and certification program in place.

Funny seeing all the ads for regionals on here offering everything except respectable compensation and a good work environment.

signing bonus, ATP-CTP, commuter hotels, fast upgrades, new jets, flow through, etc. Everything except the long-term value you want in a career.

That's the thing though. Regional airlines aren't selling a career. They're selling a path to a career, and applicants are proving that they want the fastest path instead of long-term value at the regional level.

I just did AQP without reading the gouge, and it was very easy. If you gt the Denver to Colorado Springs, make sure to have an enroute chart out and your altitude meets the grid Mora. Also, check for fuel with the short cut - you could land heavy.

There is one person that I know of who is typed. But they are strictly management, and work for management on both sides, not just the CRJ side.

My dilemma with xjt is the fact that they only have 50 seat jets. I think the contract is great, but see no shot in getting back to Chicago anytime soon from what I read on here. Also seems like I'll be on reserve for years. Not sure how accurate that is. I feel no matter what regional I choose it'll be the wrong choice .

If you would've been hired 5 years ago you would have been on reserve for a very long time. Getting on now means a very short reserve stay as we are hitting record attrition numbers. You'd move up faster than you think. Our recruiting framework has been laid and I think there will be many more newhires coming in soon.

As for the 50 seat thing. They will be replaced eventually.

If you're gonna be stuck on reserve you mine as well have our work rules. 12 days off in a 31 day month where some places only get 11 or worse 10 (among a lot of other things). Also if we can just have a steady stream of people come through here we can start to upgrade and get movement. PM me if you want some more details on reserve rules or XJT in general.
