I think it's becoming more and more apparent that management's plan of winning RFPs by promoting quality despite cost is failing abysmally. It should be obvious to everyone by now that our mainline "partners" really only care about cost. Otherwise they wouldn't have recently awarded -900s to GoJets.
It's been about 8 years now since their plan was waiting for Mesa to fail. How did that work out? Now we're STILL trying to outlast Mesa, GoJets, TSA, and Republic?
I'm really starting to believe their real plan is to just tell us whatever keeps us working another 2-3 years until the lights go out. The recruiting website, the milestone anniversaries, the 'Reliability Success Plan" of the week, it's really all just a bunch of fluff to disguise a dying airline who has firm aircraft retirement dates, and no new flying on the horizon. it would be nice if management would just treat us like mature adult professionals, and have a frank conversation about the REAL state of this company, not keep blowing sunshine up everyone's butts.

Hey. Not going to argue there. The company is doing their best to lose this flying. When the network at the SOC is up all day, the airline runs great. When it goes down every few days, we struggle. Not sure what is going on over there.

Yeah, exactly! That average contract helps keep your airline more profitable.
Is it true TSA had a 59% CCF a few days ago?

So for strictly QOL, what are the chances of a new hire holding Atlanta? How long on reserve? I know about all the other problems going on at EJ but based on strictly QOL, ExpressJet might be the best bet for me. Any info is appreciated.

Should get ATL within 6 months. Reserve is up to 3+ years on the 700/900 in ATL. Not sure about the 200.

Just goes to show what kind of "respect" you can expect at Acey.

As far as QOL goes, for a Regional, XJT is pretty good. The pay is slightly better than some (there are no annual bonuses or hiring bonuses unless you have a CRJ/ERJ type rating.) We have a Duty Rig that pays 1 for 2 up to 12 hours and 1 for 1 after that. We pay 100% for deadheads, and the greater of credit or block time. We have 2 hour minimum call-out on short call, and a limit of 6 ready reserves in a month with 4 hours of pay for that while sitting for 8 hours.
I don't need to cover the negatives about XJT because I see a dead horse over there.

Is that you PSA recruiter? If not, you must be a blast to fly with! All I hear is negative information from you. You know, people have other priorities than upgrading. Otherwise, they probably would have left by now. If you don't like what is going on at the moment, just leave. Your strongest actions are with your feet.
