A case of regional Stockholm syndrome. It's not "just business". It is poor leadership and failure of management to secure your airline's future. Bases do open and close, but it is not a norm as you suggest.

No kidding. I thought one guy was going to stomp out that morning on day 1.....

Heh heh. Remember this little gem?

Agreeing with previous responses, I do understand that such courses of action may be business decisions and that I have very little influence on those. Like I said, I wasn't particularly happy on day one, but ERJs ended up being a great assignment and I'm happy I got to fly them and got IAH as a base.

Cheers

Upon confirmation that you have a steady pulse.

Are you dead? If not, you should be good. Maybe next week.

I wouldn't worry. I guarantee if your qualify you will get a call. Getting hired here now is the easy part. Even as line holders, getting the company to contact you in a timely fashion can be the tough part. They probably just took an early weekend.

Ditto to the last two posts give it till Tuesday (just the typical business delay) cause usually I don't get internal responses till Tuesday after sending them out.

That's an embarrassing email. Why would he mention anything about how they 'do it at the Majors'? DR very well knows that bidding from CRJ to ERJ or back may never be a possibility.

Bait and switch. Poor form.

Didn't he actually retire a bunch of years ago?

You're better off. There are places with much brighter futures. Still on reserve 3+ years later.
