The only place I've had people tell me to stick around at a dead end job has been here on APC.

Yes. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I agree with you. My post was mostly in support of your post.

Look Guys, the Legacy Carriers simply can't exist without Regional Feed. Just as you've seen massive consolidation of Legacy Carriers, you will see massive consolidation of Regional and LCC.
I predict the Majors will once again want the full control of their feed and repurchase Regionals. Farming it out has proven disastrous to feed stability.
I also predict that once purchased that they will just give the now Wholly Owned Regional Pilots a Seniority Number because that will prevent the FO's from jumping around like a bunch of damn crickets. The Legacy Carriers require Regional Stability and they will have it.

If you really believe those pipe dreams more power to you. Legacy carriers did just fine before we ever heard the word commuter airline.

The majors bought regionals after the Bizex takeover (DAL,ASA,Comair) and it didn't work, and the "staple the regionals to the majors" attempt crashed-and-burned long ago.

Hey folks, I have some questions...
Does anybody know where is the base to the new hires? Can we choose equipment and/or base at the interview? How long does it take to hear from HR after applying?

Thank you in advance!

Bases are awarded during ground school. Oldest in class chooses which base they would like from what is offered. I was called within a day after applying. Once you interview and are successful they will let you choose equipment.

Thanks for the answer. Sorry for having more questions...I'm thinking to apply but want to have a bigger idea about the company first.
How long is the training (ground school and simulator)? Do they really pay approximately $1500 until complete the training? What bases did they offer to you?
