How would this go down down with Skywest being non-union... could they do at that point whatever they wanted... pay rate, integrate... however they seemed fit? Isn't Skywest also in negotiations? I would think this could be a good thing.
Well, either you heard incorrectly, your source made that up, or you made that up. There has been no votes yet. The MECs haven't seen the final language yet. There isn't anything to vote on yet

We got an email from both MEC chairmen saying they passed a resolution stating the they had an AIP. Resolutions require votes to pass.[/QUOTE]
Nevets, although we don't always see eye to eye you are completely correct. This email specified there would be a vote once the final language went out. Tony, I don't know if you are just misinformed or trying to flame up the pilots. Either way, the final language had to be worked out and they will be voting shortly. If... If, it passes the MECs then it will be distributed to the pilot group. I have said this before, and I mean it sincerely; please read the whole contract, make a decision based on what you think is right and what you think is wrong, but for gods sake don't open one section and say definitely yes or definitely no. If you are one of those guys then you are doing yourself, your colleagues, and future pilots a disservice. This isn't about one side or the other, we have to start thinking collectively and stop berating each other. Yes or No, we have to work together from this point forward.

No TA would ever get passed with that attitude. Sometimes you have to give up some scheduling perks for $. Its more about the overall plus vs minus. We shouldn't see pay go down though..

Exactly I'm not holding any reservations till I read it myself....All these guys screaming NO based on rumors is a bit childish... The bullsh*t stops when the TA drops!

Vote however you want, I'm just asking.

Nevets, as you probably know, ALPA national does the costing in contract negotiations. As critical of ALPA as I am, they actually do a pretty good job costing these things out as a whole package. That being said, IF the total package put together is a cost increase to the company, then is it still a "concessionary" agreement?

You are already doing that, and don't think this contract will be any different. Leave.

It wouldn't be the first time Captain Tony either heard incorrectly, had a bad source or made something up.
