Keep in mind some are saying 2 years on reserve. That is the absolute minimum right now. 700/900 is 3-4 years right now as an FO from what I understand. I was on reserve for over 5 years on the 700. Broke aaaannnd Broken. Since ATL is shrinking a little and other bases are shrinking even more, I can't imagine reserve becoming quicker. Good news though. You don't have to call for release any longer. That's huge actually.

I got IAH out of training in October and it looks like most people that want it continue to get it.

Also, I spent 6 months on reserve. If you want a line go to Newark and you won't be on reserve for long.

What's up with all the instructors in the right seat on the ATL CR7/9?

No kiddin. As if it didn't suck enough with all of this stagnation you just keep sliding backwards each month.

Does the contract allow instructors to bid FO seats on their fly months?

Same as months before on the 200. Bid down so they can get a better schedule for their fly month. Don't worry, we haven't served enough reserve according to them. I just feel bad for captains. 7 years and going on reserve...

Not until the 21st. You still have to call until the 21st.

They don't get to pick what seat they want to fly. The company puts them in whatever seat they need the extra butts.

I had a feeling it was because of staffing. Too many instructors in one month for it to be a "fly the line" month. They should just crank up the 200% premium time if they need staffing help. Better to pay us $88 an hr than the $100+ the instructors make

I guess they realized we can't pick anything up since they have us flying 90+ hours every month. Ha!
