Yes, I knew about PDX but couldn't say anything. Of course United said 50-seaters were going away...XJT's 135s. Until you see a press release specifically saying United is offering a deal to draw down SkyWest's 200s it's not in the plan. If you ever do, you can bet most of them will already have a back-up plan in place.

Guess the kicker is xjt's EMB145's cant pull a "release" scheme like the CRJ's can...

Not only 135's but their 145's as well... Through March of next year over 100 aircraft are supposed to come off contract. With United losing in excess of 600 million dollars, they certainly aren't going to be throwing more money at ExpressJet and increase the rates to keep them all flying.

Are they just closing the base or are they parking those particular EMBs?

It sounds as if NVUS doesn't believe merging saves any significant costs.

Those are not all LXJT aircraft.

Best case scenario I see is that they do pay a fair rate for the XRs. Anything else, I would be surprised.

I agree. I bet xjt goes down to just the xr's... Didn't they only sign a contract mx (for a gear check) contract for those planes?? Im also hearing UA will shift there feed around. They only want 3-4 regionals in ORD instead of what 7?...

No. Not at all, but it is a regional airline, and regionals are all experiencing difficulty right now. XJT is still better than most regionals, but it is still a regional.

Does anyone know if there is a minimum flight time to interview? I heard its just if you can meet ATP mins within 6 months. I'm at 700 total time right now (need 1000) and wondering if I should apply now if hiring will really be slowing down as they say it will. I'm flying around 50-60 hours a month so I feel I could meet the minimums by October/November. Thanks!

I know you have problems sticking to a specific item but the blanket statement was not true and I addressed a specific portion.

Also, see if you answer questions without having to use a quote. It saves time reading your dribble.
