I guess the Eagle vote last summer didn't count, nor the one in January.
I'm not trying to step on toes. I thought ours was before yours in January. I know we were all waiting to hear the outcome of your vote.
We did have a landmark rejection rate of 83%--that was a first!

Awe, that's cute. Did somebody make you a badge and now you're the spokesperson tool of the day for SkyWest? You want to pinpoint blame, look at your own mgmt team. Expressjet IS SkyWest. We are ran from the very same people. So hop off your high horse and come down to reality for a minute. We have our share of problems-- none of which stem from our pilots. I'm sick and tired of watching you pretend to sit high and mighty. Look at yourself. Why don't you take a look at what Chip Child's did before he came to SkyWest? Also, look at your own costs, you're expensive too.

do you really believe the ejt management have a free hand to do as they please and they are not dictated by upper skw inc management. you don't know how things work, do you.

Expensive, but making money. There's a world of difference. There are a lot of things SkyWest could do better, not going to deny that. But to sit here and blame all your inadequacies on SkyWest is ridiculous. And no, ExpressJet is not SkyWest. They are owned by Inc, but have absolutely NOTHING to do with the airline that is SkyWest. Do I think they should be running separate operations, no? But it is what it is...it's not our management team, is ExpressJet's management team. They are separate operations.

Both our individual entities (ASA and XJT) were profitable and thriving before SkyWest swooped in and "saved" us all.

You don't get it. It's not about us; it's about the future of the airline pilot career. If we were so afraid of losing our jobs, we would never have voted NO by an 83% margin!
We were the first, remember!
We know our airline is going away. The mismanagement will see to that. We just were not going to help them line their pockets as they do it. As far as "lifers" go, there has been almost no hiring by the majors for 10 years! Only certain groups got hired. We also know that SKYW can't simply bankrupt us as we are their subsidiary. We are over 4,000 pilots and it will take a while for all those 175's to replace that feed. Let's see how the summer goes, when cancellations mount for lack of crews. Every labor group here is ****ed off, not one of them is doing anything beyond bare minimum, because management isn't either.
