Maybe that's the plan? Shrink, lose 50 seaters, and then bring in large RJ's with better CPA's.

Right, I think that's pretty much what needs to happen. And to add, I'm all for contract improvements and livable wages. In no way am I advocating any concessions.

Because there is a huge window of opportunity open for us right now if we get our #@$& together ASAP. If we don't it's back to the previous plan (aircraft retirements/shrinkage). We have massive leverage right now because of this. We heed to take advantage of it, and a plan is being executed.
I hope this plan calls for improvements to the XJT contract on all sections. Otherwise it probably be a waste of time again since it may be voted down.

When I think of getting new contract passed at XJT I think of the traveling salesman that stopped by the side of the road in rural Maine to ask a farmer to give him directions to Bangor. "You cahn't get they-ah from here."

I agree that the ExpressJet pilots (L-ASA, L-XJT) need to come to an agreement to operate under one set of rules. Right now you have a scheduling department that has to abide by two different sets of rules regarding both pilot groups. After you do that, the Dispatch groups could probably find it in their hearts to come to an agreement to be one group as well. You have ASA dispatchers sitting back watching the XJT dispatchers get their asses handed to them and thanks to those lovely union rules the ASA guys can't do a damn thing to step in and help out. The FAs and the Mechanics would be next in line.

However, even after this dream scenario is finally realized, Inc still isn't going to throw new flying at an airline that can't handle what it already has. Unfortunately, shrinking to a manageable size is almost a must. Once the operation has its priorities straight then you can start adding a piece or two here and there.
Unless you're writing this from a corner office in a large building in St George, Utah, nobody cares what you think of our operation or "silly union rules". So go troll elsewhere.

Doesn't really matter what Luis wants...He is voting no unless there is a single list, so we can just register his no vote now...
