L-ASA (ExpressJet CRJ side)

As far as work rules go, worked at XJT with great work rules all it got me is flying given to other companies. Also a stagnant seniority list.

I left L-XJT side because I saw the writing on the wall. I love the guys I flew with and the contract was awesome compared to others.
I move almost 400 numbers on the list but gained maybe 20 relative to the lines in six months. With tails leaving the property and reduction in lines I was seeing another 2 years on SCR in IAH.
Wish the company was still in its glory days!

Hello pilots bros. if there's anyone that hates the shell-shuffle shenanigans, it's me and I would like to proffer a request. Please remember that it isn't the pilots of 9E that had anything to do with this. My big question is; who decided to let LXJt fade away? Is it the desire to dump the 200s or Skywest ensuring adequate staffing on their equipment? Why are they letting you guys, seep away per se?

L-XJT: Skywest is letting the contracts time out because we are an expensive pilot group. They've put little effort into recruiting and the pilot group is very top heavy. Also their letting United remove tails and place them with cheaper contracted companies. As a result there is little movement in the list.
The only reason I can see is the expense part. We have amazing D0 and CCF numbers.
It sucks when you see an exXJT XR tail at TSA or the likes. The XR and sans airstair LRs were L-XJT specific birds.

L-ASA I couldn't wager to guess as I wasn't on their side of the company.

Now that we've determined that none of us are English teachers, we can talk about what truly matters. ASA is F*%ked and those that are on the fence about leaving need to pull their head out their &ss and go elseware. You've never had a better opportunity then now to move on. EVERYONE is hiring. If you're not getting called by Delta, so What! Go to a LCC, Cargo, anything. Get another type rating! 10,000 hours means NOTHING if it's all CRJ time.
I'm former ASA, spent 9 years there. Some of the best people in the industry by far. Don't sell yourself short!

This is 100% truth!
The axe really is falling now. Get out to anywhere. L-ASA will not exist once the Delta contract expires in 2020.
-This is NOT A DRILL. No kidding-get out to anywhere NOW!

It's that easy to do anything other than a lateral move? Sweet, why didn't I think of this before? I'll just apply and get the call tomorrow from any LCC or cargo company or anywhere. Thanks for the advice. This has been a real eye opener.

Nobody said it would be easy. Can you honestly say you've done everything possible to make yourself more marketable? If so, then it's just a matter of time before you get a call. Job fairs, recruiting events, volunteering, networking are just as valuble as flight experience in today's world. Not that I agree with it, but it's just the way it is.

All of the above. Some of us just don't get the call. Moving to another regional hurts us all and I refuse to do it. Say about me whatever anyone would like, I like to sleep at night knowing I didn't sell out my peers.

There's a huge chasm between selling out your peers and taking care of you and your family. If your peers really cared all that much, they wouldn't let you go down alone, they'd be right there beside you, paying your bills if/when you can't.
