With hundreds leaving, there will be vacancies. Not gonna be for another month or two since training is backed up as it is.

How many lifers are left on the ASA side? There must of been 500+ in 2013. Curious to know if they are/can getting out or are some still trying to hang on for a few more years.

A lot, I suspect. On the ERJ side the most senior guys attended the last supper, and when the senority list was merged, next to the
ASA guys they looked like millennials.

1. TYS will be a virtual base/domicile on the ERJ side.

2. Eight additional 145s on the way, two already on property. The planes are going through C checks so it's a slow process.

3. United wants to make a decision on CRJ flying by the end of January.

Plans are for a separate CPP for transitioning CRJ pilots, and eventually merging to one CPP in 18-24 months.

LOL, and who do they expect to fly these planes? I keep hearing our biggest new hire classes are single digits.

Time will tell. Most of the ones I know are planning to jump off the ship. Won't be fun commuting out of ATL with hundreds of other former ASA folks.

I would imagine TYS will be a mostly L-ASA base as the majority of CAs will probably bid it as ATL is drawn down. Also, going forward all CA/FOs making CA pay have to bid any vacant CA positions to keep their pay. So when TYS does open i'd imagine most ASA guys are gonna have the seniority for it. Can't speak for what FOs will do. Time will tell indeed.

Any indication how big TYS will be? I don’t think anything about size was mentioned on the phone call.
