Does anybody know why the crj to Erj training classes for January were suspended? An FO who was displaced said he got a phone call saying class cancelled and no update as to when it would be back on. Curious...Again the 18th is also 14days out from 1st for those 2 week notices.

Word on FB is it is because of a lack of sim time.

Also lack of CRJ pilots, I would imagine. A glut of CRJ Pilots come November? How will they be scheduled into classes all at once? Concerning if furloughs are on the table as there is some disagreement over whether a furloughed CRJ pilot may displace an ERJ pilot: not saying they should, but what a travesty if they can’t on a single list.

Or maybe all the remaining 700s are to be placed with United and there is no reason for pilots to transition. However, i have also heard that since there are only (2) 145 sims with a handful of new hires, 90 upgrades, and crj guys transitioning, they are just simply backed up.

I don't believe anything management says. 100 planes hogwash. Air Wisconsin is doing it with 65 planes and been doing it a LOOONG time.

Air Whisky is a privately held company. As such they don’t have to worry about many economic issues that are concerns for publicly held companies and their subsidiaries.

The statement about being unviable below 100 planes is true. It’s because of our expenses. The leases on multiple hangers, equipment, IT infrastructure, levels of management and staff etc. The airline is setup for larger scale operations. Bring the revenue centers (airplanes) to less than 100 with the current setup, and XJT will have issues.
