New Hire Junior Activation Pay
#11
I'm not trying to bag on you, but it is absolutely based on aircraft seat in the CBA.
Here's the excerpt (24.F.6.d):
If, through the application of Section 24.F.6.c., a junior pilot is activated
into a higher paying crew position for which a senior pilot(s)
did not have the opportunity to bid, the eligible senior pilot(s) shall
be eligible for New Hire Junior Activation Compensation.
And what is CREW POSITION?
CREW POSITION
A specific crew seat, in a specific aircraft type, at a specific domicile (e.g.,
Captain MD-11 MEM; First Officer A-300 MEM).
So, in my experience (not personally, just talking to new hires), if you bid MEM 777 FO, then MEM 757 FO and all the MEM 777 FO crew position is unavailable to you, but then in the next class, someone junior to you gets awarded that higher paying crew position, you are eligible for NHJAC. At least form the new hires I spoke to that are on it.

if a higher paying crew position (any widebody seat) was awarded to someone jr to you in your NH class, you are not eligible for NHJAC. End of story.
757 doesn’t have to be your last, but it must be the only remaining airplane available to bid by the time it gets to you.

“higher paying crew position”

"Crew Position" is not "any wide body seat." It is a specific seat in a specific domicile.
If you take the definition of Crew Position and put it in that paragraph, this is how it reads:
If, through the application of Section 24.F.6.c., a junior pilot is activated into a higher paying specific crew seat, in a specific aircraft type, at a specific domicile for which a senior pilot(s) did not have the opportunity to bid, the eligible senior pilot(s) shall be eligible for New Hire Junior Activation Compensation.
I'm not saying that this is how it's being implemented now (even though people I've talked to said it has been in the past), but it is definitely how the CBA reads.
Maybe Viper Driver would tell us how he generally bid (where he had 757 in his list compared to other seats).

You're not quoting the entire CBA paragraph.

Not to bag on you either, but you also are not reading the whole section. The paragraph you quoted says "a higher paying crew position for which a senior pilot(s)
did not have the opportunity to bid," not "the higher...." That is why some people get NHJAC and some don't. That is why you also must bid all WB aircraft on the following system bid and not just the WB A/C that was junior assigned. Even the person you linked saying they didn't bid it last and was on NHJAC agreed that no one junior to you in your new hire class could be awarded a WB for you to get NHJAC. If you had 777 first, 757 second, and then Airbus, and someone in your new hire class got Airbus, you had the opportunity to bid that higher paying crew position and didn't. So, no matter what happens with the next new hire class, no NHJAC for the person who passed on the Airbus for the 757 even if they had the 777 first and the next class had 777 awards.

hired early ‘19 into the 757. Available aircraft were 57F, 30F, 76F, 77F.
I bid:
1) 67
2) 77
3) 57
4) 30
In my class and in subsequent classes there were MD11, 77, and 76 pilots. I never got the opportunity to bid MD11 because at the time the classes were hand picked.
Am I receiving NHJAC?

Well, we need a little more information. Was there anybody junior to you in your new hire class that was awarded a WB aircraft? If so, which aircraft were they awarded? I'm not sure if this was happening in '19 or not, but the company was starting the MD guys a day earlier than the rest of the new hire class so that those individuals were senior to the rest.

The tricky part is any of classes after you.. if you bid 757 before any widebodies, which you did, then even if someone below you gets a WB, then you are still not entitled to NHJAC.. That why people above are saying you have to bid 75 last..
