I sure would think if it was “legally unenforceable”, the company wouldn’t fight it so hard as many are thinking they will. I mean if it can’t be enforced, why would the company fight it?

Everyone needs to watch PM's new video. Out today should have an email with a link to the YouTube, well worth the 29 minutes.

I will echo those above and say to watch the video for some good info. You can even watch it at 1.25 speed and it’s even less of a time commitment

cliff notes:

1. We’re not going to fix scope
2. FedEx is going to shrink/outsource and we dont plan to fight them on that
3. Only career progression you can expect is from retirements if this TA passes

If that’s what you got from the video then you’re only hearing what you want to hear anyways. No use in trying to have a discussion.

Like my professor always said, “if you don’t want to learn anything, read the cliff notes, but if you want to learn, read the book”.

Your summary is inaccurate and filtered very poorly.

You guys are the reason why the 2015 contract passed by 58%, too many people who simply cannot see reality. History is apparently going to repeat itself. Unbelievable.

The way this is going, Fedex pilots might get the money, the retirement improvements, at the expense of very little job protections, zero to none aircraft movement, deteriorating work rules and schedules, etc. I hope Fedex pilots have the fortitude to see this which is crystal clear.

This is exactly what's going to happen. Going to be a lot of stagnation here.

If you think your voice here has no power, PM just gave a 29 minute dissertation addressing us. I feel my voice here has more power than all the darts and email’s I’ve sent. I know there is no way we are going to reopen section 1 prior to a TA. PM said we made advancements in section 1. I will read and make a determination. I appreciate the work the negotiation team has done and I have no personal issues with any of them. This is just business. As such, we the folks hired after 2015 do not appreciate the condescending tone that was sent our way in PM’s speech. Many of us have dealt with the loss of a job to the regionals. Us younger folks took jobs at regionals hoping to make it to the big show. We bought our own uniforms and paid for our Jeppesen subscriptions. All for 19.05/hr. I know the older generation wants their pie. Thus, this is not an issue and they would like us young bucks to shut up and row. We can’t do that. FedEx has publicly announced their intent to offset declining volume by pushing freight onto other birds. If we allow that, not only our jobs, but your pension is at risk. We’re an Express shipping company. If we lose control of our brand by outsourcing, We’ll be out of business. And on that front, PM couldn’t be more wrong about scope.
