The student line changes were a give back but it doesn"t impact a huge group. The pay rates were on the low side but that was only after the majors had huge increases announced as we were in the waiting to vote period. Bottom line is there was something for everyone and our #1 polled priority to the NC, retirement improvement, was accomplished. Rather than burn the house down and begin a multi-year search for new priorites I would think some focused improvements (legacy equivalent payrates, near full back pay, some scope agreements that capture the management emails of intent, and some improvement to the A fund transition) would be sufficient and ratifiable in the short term.
TA1 was absoutle horsesheet. Do you realize how bad a TA has to be for people to vote down their own pay raises? There's a reason why QOL here has contined to go downhill here for the last 20 + years. People with your mindset that think you have to trade QOL concessions for industry standard(less than industry standard in TA1) pay rates and retirement. Its ridiculous and infuriating.

And you're right, we will be the old guys and the senior ones someday, and I won't be voting for or advocating for a TA that has junior pilots take QOL concessions and dogsheet pay rates to subsizide my retirement bump as I'm heading out the door.

Back to the original question, I too cannot trust anyone who failed to make the deal happen and in fact showed their hand as to what their nearing-retirement interests are.

Has there been any reason given why it would be acceptable to take any less than the now industry standard UA/DL/AA pay rates and work rules? The chains have moved so much in the last year, the weak openers from 2 years ago are out the window.

“oh but industry best retirement, bar none”

How many are off probation now since the last vote?

Figure the last new hires were a year ago, so by the time the 1.1 comes out, they’ll probably be also eligible to vote. (Since we have an absurd probation timing linked to activation, who does that?)

Even more No votes coming if this thing truly is a 1.1, 51% attempt.

I certainly hope the company furloughs you punks! That would be a win for all of us. Of course Cutler doesn't have the balls to respond to emails. I have absolutely NO use for MEC representation who can't/won't fly the line.

Wow! That’s a great start to build unity.

Are you the same guy that stood up in a hub turn meeting and asked why ALPA has advocated for a furlough because you couldn’t afford the house payment for his soon to be ex wife? Be mad, but not stupid

I’m sure you remember those midnight meetings that haven’t happened in long time.

Stupid F*CK!

Don't have an ex-wife DICK!

Hopefully, you are in the bottom 800 who get furloughed.
Settle down before you stroke out.

Your attitude is pathetic and unacceptable for a union member. Do more listening and less threats

If I get furloughed, you won’t have a FedEx pension in retirement. So research PBGC before making threatening statements.

Your hysterical anger causes cognitive abilities to fail! Can’t be in bottom 800 if I was at union midnight hub turn meetings from 15 years ago.

Good luck with us getting anything close to industry standard for anything the way I see fellow pilots treating each other. We can either stand together and win or we can be divided and be the big losers. The company is laughing so hard at our childish banter and union antics. What and embarassment we have become.

The TA was crap and we voted it down. Lets move on, the company sure has. If we ran a business like this we would have imploded long ago.

There it is folks! Your typical senior d-bag who thinks they are owed something at the expense of everyone else by virtue of being old and fat. Good luck fella. You are in for a surprise soon. You and your ilk are extremely outgunned now. Panic all you want. You know I'm right.
