getting extended and guys pulling draft
#11
This pilot group voted in favor of a strike authorization, but can't resist the greed for just a few months.
Folks flying draft assignments, TAA's filling the remaining non-OFC days with trips and ASBYs, Instructors working multiple events in one day numerous times each month, line pilots accepting fatiguing extensions in the field, people willingly picking up Disputed Pairings, etc.
Nothing will change, if we don't change our behavior as a collective pilot group.

And no I’m not an instructor, an LCA, management, a tech pilot or anything else. I’m a line pilot who flies what I’m awarded.

I completely agree with this sentiment. To give even more validity to the greed of some in our pilot group I suggest we all login to our MEC account and search for the Flight Pay Loss document. It shows the flight pay loss hourly amounts from Jan 2025 thru June 2025. Please explain how someone on our union Communication Committee claims over 90 hours per month for each of those months. I realize SOME of our Union pilots work long hours but shouldn’t most of the guys receiving Flight Loss Pay be limited to what we are all limited to during 4a2c? I’m sure I’ll get shot in the face for daring to question why someone on a union Committee makes 98 hours in multiple months while I’m lucky to make 62 but it’s a valid concern. If we’re going to question the Flex instructors and the greedy mgt pilots making 90+ hours a month than it only makes sense we question any pilot at this company making over the 4a2c maximums.

Also, you probably should have considered your new screen name a little more FYI.

Fixed it for you! Asking for real scrutiny under a false name is a little hypocritical. When we start acting like a union publicly, we will get a contract.

Block 11 needs to be disbanded and replaced with Block 9. No special block should represent instructors. Go to your respective seniority block and have a nice day.
Block 11 (FLEX, LCA, SCA) have ALWAYS been the greatest offenders feeding from the greed trough during negotiations and whenever it suits them to pad their schedules. Now they all hide behind their MINT calendars as independent contractors.
The MEC should publish the top offenders in each fleet and seat. It’s a direct correlation to dues money paid monthly. This goes for the line and schoolhouse independent contractors.
Use caution in this “taking hostages” environment if you choose to call them out in person, phone call, or text. They’ll run to management like cowards and claim workplace intimidation. It’s encouraged by management to divide the crew force.
We have to look no further than internally to determine why negotiations continue to drag on.
Maybe someday we’ll figure it out like the other majors.

Im getting min run hours here. 60. How is that a living. It’s insult on injury. Oh a 2015 pay rate. This is absolute garbage. When I’m at “the best job in aviation” and prob should be picking up shifts at Starbucks. We’ve got to get out of this hor$hit and get a deal.
