The harm is that timing is an important element of negotiations. I have received four calls for draft in the last week. Same for Airbus.
Personally, I think his lack of unity with his former NC team and accepting a position that our own policy manual advised against says something about him. That could be political, but I don’t think it is.
But if we come out of this time of growing leverage and accept a fraction of backpay for 4.A.2.c and he slides student lines in there, then we squandered the leverage we had before peak. That would amount to a huge loss and a wasted period of negotiations. That’s the harm. If you don’t have a problem with that, then you didn’t have a problem when it was JG.

Spoiler alert: They don't have one. More waiting. More sitting. More airlines passing us by. More cycles missed.

Their plan is to “negotiate” straight into impasse and call it victory.

Either way, it’s not JG’s position to sit out.
It. Is. The. Company’s.
UPS is direct dealing right now. They don’t have a mediator until next year is the way I understand it.

The company is free to negotiate with JG. They were direct dealing just last month. If they don’t want to deal, then that’s their position. But JG is ready to negotiate.

AB brought SMEs, attorneys and people that could make decisions and have the figures they need.
Don't kid yourself, JG wasn't negotiating.

The company would not negotiate with JG as he is no longer affiliated with the negotiating committee. What are they going to do- call up his cell phone and say “Hi John would you be free to come in next Tuesday at 9?” Ridiculous. They were direct dealing last month because he was the head of the committee. Now, not.

Why interview when the same people had just fired him?
The outcome was pre-determined.
You would have more credibility if you didn't distort the truth.
