For chi05 and Orionpilot...when did you apply to FEDEX and how soon did you receive the email? I just posted an app on the most recent FEDEX open window and am wondering if anyone has heard back from FEDEX now that the window is closed.

It was a friend of mine that got the email. I'll check with him but I'm pretty sure he applied last summer. He received the email on Monday or Tuesday. As far as I know he hasn't heard anything about scheduling an interview yet, but according to the email there's no guarantee that he'll be called at all.

On a somewhat related topic...

How do we sponsor someone these days?

The old PFC link seems to be gone and the pilot cred website has removed the box that allowed you to designate someone as your primary dude/dudette.

It wouldn't stop me from applying. I believe there is a "leveling process" that is applied...can't quantify it but they know where the flight time discrep's lie. If it were me, and I had 2000 hrs of TacAir, Instructor time, green ink, a chest full of medals...you get the idea. He also said that the cut line is a moving target as they make their way through the stacks.

FWIW, I applied last spring. Got email Tue. to be prepared that I might get to do the test. Got the email today to come take the test.

MD-11 typed, 15 years int'l freight, ~10,000 TT, internal recommend.

I also applied last year, as soon as the window opened up. 8000tt+, current in the airbus. Any insights into the current testing process would be greatly appreciated, suggested study guides etc.
Thanks

At the end it asks if asks if your are a sponsor or just a rec. I don't think it gives that option if the person is already sponsored. You will need the EXACT email address they used to apply. Make sure the name matches thier spelling if they go by a middle name.

Is the study guide that FDX sends you before the testing portion a new thing? Does it cover everything that will be seen in the testing phase? Thanks guys.

From my buds that have tested the answer is yes.

For those that have the word to test - is it an email now that notifies you for testing or are they still calling?

For some reason I did not get the option to select I am a sponsor. I know the guy I'm sponsoring does not have a sponsor in the system.

Do the folks applying have a place on the form to indicate that they have a sponsor?

Thanks
