I didn't have an internal recommendation and just finished IOE, so it's possible. That being said, it seems that my story isnt *that* common. There were only two in my new hire class of eight that didn't have an internal rec.

The hiring department is super busy at the moment trying to get through hundreds of applications so persistence, patience, and a good resume will be key.

Does replacing your attached resume with a new one signal to the hiring department that you have updated your application? That’s what I have been doing pretty much weekly. Any thoughts on what makes a candidate competitive right now?

Probably been answered many times before, but is fleet selection based purely on fleet need at the time or does previous aircraft experience/hours/choice factor into the equation?

Default Passport

Does anyone know if you need a current passport to apply, is it a Yes or No block on the application? Is there a block for comments? I applied for my passport today- turn around time is 10-12 weeks! I would like to go ahead and apply if possible. Thanks in advance,

It is based on fleet need, and no one knows the exact sauce that is used when selecting who goes into what fleet

Jump on your senator or congressman's website, hit 'help with a federal agency' and submit...you'll probably have it back in less than 2 weeks.

Default Non Internal Recs - Resume Fields

For those of you who got calls without internal refs, what fields did you have listed on your resume? Typically bigger company’s have automatic sorting software that keeps or dumps resumes based on the fields its able to screen. Ex if 1500TT is the min and you have 1486TT on the resume, the software will say “nope”. So with that said for those of you without an internal rec, what fields did you have on your resume and what were the times?

I have TT, Turbine Time, Instrument Time, ME Time, PIC, Dual Given.

3000, 1615, 254, 1707, 1189, 1082.

I have not gotten a call. I replace my resume pretty much every week. I don’t have any idea if they have visibility of that. My profile has a last updated column that always shows the date I first submitted. So, I have no idea if they see my new resume ever time I submit.

Asking for a friend:

If one were to interview with experience on a type and current such as GVI would it be possible to go straight into that program, if you have recommendations from Flex guys in said program or is a new hire not normally given a shot at these for a couple years? Just trying to get a feel for how programs are done and if it’s a chance to go straight into large cabin.
